What is Uplighting?

Uplighting is a popular lighting effect created by strategically placing LED light fixtures on the floor and pointing them upwards to illuminate the walls (hence the name "up-lighting"). This causes a dramatic ambient light to glow around the entire venue, increasing the ambiance in the room and setting a mode or tone for the party. Our uplights each consist of 108 tricolor LED bulbs that can produce a full rainbow color spectrum. Adding this pop of color to the walls helps to transform your venue space and to establish a cohesive decorative theme.

How Does It Work?

Uplights can be rented with or without an existing photo booth rental! The first decision you need to make is how many uplights to rent. We offer packages of 16, 20, and 24 uplights. We recommend placing a light about every 10' or closer depending on the intensity of the pigment you are trying to display. That will lead in to the next step, choosing the color of the lighting. Our LED uplights can produce any color light that will best match your décor. Work with our team to coordinate which color is best for your event! On the day of your event, the onsite technician will arrive 90 minutes prior to your guests arrival to begin setting up and coordinating the light features. Our lights need access to one standard electrical outlet, are plugged into one another, and controlled remotely!

What is the difference between the booth types? Can I rent more than one booth?
Yes! We have 5 different photography rental options and they can operate simultaneously to create unique entertainment experiences. Our Open Air Photo Tower is our most popular photo booth style. Unlike other booths on the market, it accommodates large group photos. The Mirror X is our newest, most technologically advanced booth style. It captures full body reflection images and captivates guests attention. Our GIF booth is a fun, lightweight device that is perfect for venues with small floor space. It offers instant digital sharing of photos, GIFs, and Boomerangs. Our Tripod booth is a more formal photography option and our Roaming Photographer is fairly self explanatory. How do I know which package is right for my event?
First, we should note that all packages are customizable! Start building your package by deciding the number of hours you would like the photo booth running. Packages start at a minimum of three hours, but our most popular packages include 4 hours of run time. Next, choose your extras and additions. We always recommend including digital copies after the event and, for memory's sake, we like to encourage weddings, mitzvahs, or birthday clients to opt for our Guestbook Addition too! What is the reservation process like?
First you will choose your booth type and your package and we will send you the reservation paperwork. This includes an agreement, a PayPal deposit invoice, and our event info form. A booth is considered officially reserved once we receive either the signed agreement or a deposit payment. Our event info form will allow you to customize your backdrop, layout, and logo, as well give us important timing and venue information.
Is a deposit required? What payment methods are accepted?
We require a minimum $300 deposit for all rentals. The rest of the rental payment is due one full week before the event takes place. Payment plans are also available if arranged at the time of contracting. We accept credit cards through PayPal, checks in the mail, or Cash/Venmo payments only when arranged in advance. Please reach out if you are interested in cash payments or if your budget/organization has any issues with our payment policies!
What is included in my rental?
All rental packages from New England Photo Booth include unlimited prints, props, a custom logo and layout, premium backdrop, and an onsite technician.
